Advantages
Site-specific reports with interactive maps and photographs
Each report is tailored specifically to a site with labeled maps and photographs corresponding to each inspected BMP.
Week to week interaction for site performance tracking
Data collected from previous weeks is retained and used for future inspections, and can be accessed within the inspection form during the current week's inspection. Data is also displayed in easy to read summary tables for site performance analysis by the user.
Advance communication within projects through automatic e-mail broadcasts
Each user is automatically notified when an inspection has been conducted and the data is available on-line. Agency-mandated reporting requirements are satisfied with automatic e-mail broadcasts as well.
System not dependant on internet accessibility for conducting inspections
Because of the two-part integration of RAIN's field and server attributes, the inspector does not need internet access while conducting an inspection. Therefore, the system can actually be used in the field. The user does not have to wait to return to the office to input data. The system can be used at different sites throughout the day before synchronization. It only requires on-line communication before a second inspection can be conducted at a site.
Leave a copy of the report in the field
With the optional rugged field unit, the inspector can wirelessly upload photographs and wirelessly print an inspection report right out of the vehicle!
Centralized storage of all documents
Reports are no longer attached to e-mails or faxed because all data and documents are stored on and can be viewed from a central web site
Flexibility to meet individual state and local requirements
RAIN offers the ability to be tailored to meet almost any storm water monitoring requirement.
Varying degrees of access for users
Not all users have the same access! Accessibility is assigned to users depending on their role in the project. This can be determined by the individual project manager
